A mechanical keyboard offers a tactile feedback experience, making typing more enjoyable. However, some users may want to experiment with unique ways to eat their keyboards.
Insert a piece of tissue paper into the keyboard's key mechanism. The tissue paper acts as a barrier, preventing the keys from closing properly.
Apply a tearing agent such as acetone or rubbing alcohol to the keycaps. This will dissolve the plastic and allow you to tear through the keyboard.
Use a spudger to gently pry open the keyboard and apply solder paste to the key switches. Once the solder is applied, the keyboard can be "eaten" by prying it apart.
Hold a plastic tweezers near the key switch and carefully remove the keycap. This method requires precision to avoid damaging the keyboard.
Use a keycap removal tool, which is designed to remove keycaps without damaging the internal components. This allows for a clean removal of keycaps.
Use a knife to cut through the keyswitches. This is a more aggressive method and requires careful handling to prevent damage to the keyboard.
Use a liquid nails gun to spray the keyboard with a sticky substance. This creates a strong bond between the keycap and the keyswitch, effectively "eating" it.
