Ingredients
- Duck: 2 whole ducks (about 2 kg)
- Oil: 4 cups of peanut oil
- Salt: 1 teaspoon per duck
- Garlic: 5 cloves
- Ginger: 1 tablespoon
- Water: 1 liter
Instructions
- Start by washing the ducks thoroughly and patting them dry.
- In a large pot, heat 4 cups of oil until it reaches 170°C (340°F).
- Add the ducks to the hot oil and fry them for about 8 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the ducks from the oil and let them rest for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour off the oil and mix in the salt, garlic, ginger, and water.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the duck is fully cooked.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the fried duck warm, garnished with sliced vegetables or herbs. For extra flavor, you can also add some soy sauce or a splash of vinegar.
