About Kelly Hoffman

Kelly Hoffman was born on February 1, 1953, in Santa Rosa, California. She grew up in San Jose, where she developed a passion for public speaking and politics from a young age.

Hoffman attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned her BA in English. After graduation, she worked at the United States Department of Justice, eventually becoming an assistant attorney general.

In 1989, she was elected to the United States House of Representatives representing California's Second District. In 1993, she was re-elected, serving until 2003. Her political career included service in the Senate, where she became known for her strong conservative stance.

Later, she moved to Nevada and served as a state senator before being appointed as the U.S. Representative from Nevada in 2009.

As the Speaker of the House, Hoffman was responsible for overseeing the legislative process, negotiating legislation, and managing the federal budget. She was also known for her efforts in promoting economic growth and reducing government spending.
